Who We Are

The Poised Pen is owned and operated by award-winning writer Lynn Trimble, M.A., who started The Poised Pen in order to combine two of her professional passions—writing and working in the non-profit sector.

Trimble served for many years as Associate Editor of Raising Arizona Kids Magazine in Phoenix—where her features stories earned both state and national awards. Her articles and monthly columns, which informed and inspired readers, covered diverse topics including the arts, education, health care, parenting, public policy and more.

Trimble has served the non-profit community as a volunteer, Board member/officer and Executive Director. She brings an informed, insightful and well-balanced perspective to her work with non-profit organizations. Her specialties include grant writing and marketing/publicity for non-profits.
